GT Dead Island Review

So Co-optimus gave it a 5/5, saying the graphics and combat are awesome, Eurogamer gave it a 6/10, saying the graphics and combat are crap, and the guys at Team Xbox gave it a 9/10. Apparently, the whole game is just designed to be played 4 player coop and take some 30 odd hours to finish, with also a new game + mode. If I had to guess, I would say Darth Mikal is probably gonna play this game for 200+ hours. Im certainly very interested, but also Gears is looming. What do you think?

O rly?

To be honest this game wasn't on my wish-list before I saw this.

I'll probably pick it up eventually but at the moment I want to finish some other games.

Save ur money for gears...

Bought it last night at midnight. Played it a couple hours and it seems pretty solid. Havent tried co-op though so that should make it alot better.

You were right Chronic... I couldn't resist anymore and got this. Should already have 20 hours on the clock by now...

The game is fun to play and the island looks really good. Although I've already seen more glitches then I can count, none of them have been gamebreaking yet. They just take out a little bit of the fun.

If anyone wants to play with me hook me up.

I might be slow in picking Gears up, from what I've seen this is a bit Crackdownish co-op wise, you can join anyone at any level. I'll check out the demo if it has one.

Anynyanfans?

This makes me want to play Unreal Tournament, or at least watch some videos of tense, close-fought games with it used in.

Nya?

You'll like this game just because of the sheer number of glitches you'll encounter :P

I like having something to do and the glitches as a sideshow, it's no fun when they get in the way all the time.

Nyan cat is good from many angles, the computer generated Idol singer like in the book Idorou by William Gibson is one.

This 8-bit video mashup is probably worthy of a proper blog post here - http://vimeo.com/14251384

The Eclectic Method are old masters at video mashup mixing.
