Street Fighter X Tekken VS. Arcade Sticks

So MadCatz has revealed their Voltron-like Street Fighter X Tekken VS. Arcade Stick, which you can buy two of, for the bargain basement price of $200 each, and attach together to form a mighty two player dual stick with the exact dimensions of the Japanese arcade game. Apparently its all Sanwa parts and actually might be fairly decent, but for the cost of an Xbox 360 and a Wii, I would expect it to be!

I saw this for preorder online. I'm not sure how they justify the $200 price tag when others usually go for $150. I suppose that's what happens to the price when you turn the chassis into a transorming what-have-you with the need for 62 chrome hex screws to hold it together.

I prefer Hori because of their reliable PCBs. The Hori VX-SA is my current stick of choice. It comes loaded with all sanwa with seimitsu joystick compatibility.

I prefer my MD Galaxy custom StarShip Destroyer stick! Great for fighting games and SHMUPs, the turbo function has come in handy for clearing many arcade classics, works great with my PC, and I even used it to play Virtua Tennis 3 when my thumb was literally bleeding too much to play...

Its one thing other gamers who come by my place consistently ask me about: "Where did you get that stick! Its awesome! Are those custom graphics?! I want one!"

If only there was a guy who could make them and a website where they could order them...

sir, if i had a tablesaw, those dreams would be a reality. I would spend all of my freetime making those. Unfortunately, making them by hand is much more labor intensive, since nothing comes out perfect and requires a crazy amount of sanding.

i think max still has the one I made for him too. you know, if you ever have problems with it, send it back to me and i'll throw a new PCB in there and swap out some new parts.
