Jets Pull off Stunner in Indianapolis

The New York Jets pulled off an epic victory over the Indianapolis Colts Sunday night, defeating the invincible Peyton Manning and sending the Jets to a showdown with the New England Patriots next week in Foxboro. The Jets had the lead 14-13 but turned the ball over to Manning with a bit less than 3 minutes on the clock. Of course, the Hall of Fame quarterback drove them down the field and setup the Hall of Fame field goal kicker Adam Vinatieri - possibly the most clutch kicker of all time - who nailed a 50 yard field goal to give the Colts the lead at 17-14.

I knew that Manning and company would score when they got the ball back, but what I didnt know was that the Jets werent done playing football for the evening.

There was still time left on the clock, a bit less than a minute, and it was all the Jets needed. The Jets offensive special teams play is truly special, with their backup quarterback returning kicks as well as several defensive players like Antonio Cromartie, who caught the high end over end kickoff and rocketed out of the Jets territory, dashing all the way to the 47 yard line. From there, a couple quick passes by Sanchez set up a 32 yard field goal for Nick Folk with 3 seconds left on the clock. He put it through the uprights, defeating the Colts and setting up another classic matchup next Sunday vs Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

I watched the last couple quarters and it was pretty ballsy to just let the time run down to 3 seconds before you took the kick.

Supreme confidence. Or should I say clutchiness? ;)

Seattle, then the Jets.

Who will win today? Can you both make it? Doesn't look promisong for the Seahawks at the moment.
