The PS3 has a growing stable of quality games but it's not enough for me to get one. I never got around to getting a PS2 though either, so it'll have to wait until I've gone through all the good PS2 games before I buy one.
The PS2 will have to keep waiting too because I'm still working on the 360. I just started Oblivion, I never realised it was so much of a proto-Fallout 3. I can understand why it was so much of a timesink now ;)
I feel the same about the PS3, but when they finally release the new game from team ICO then I would have no choice. Either that or Hideo Kojima has to announce Zone of the Enders 3...
"Hideo Kojima has promised that he would produce the next game in the series, Zone of the Enders 3, at an unspecified point in the future.[1]
At E3 2011, Konami announced the 'Zone of the Enders HD Collection', a re-release of the two main Zone of the Enders games on the PS3 and Xbox 360 due out in 2012. It includes updated interfaces for the HD resolutions, redrawn art, Trophy/Achievement support, improved audio and rumble support.[2]
In August 2011, Kojima confirmed a Zone of the Enders title in development for the Nintendo 3DS."
I havent played my PS3 in ages due to multiple moves and being addicted to Virtua Tennis 3 and Trials HD and various 360 games, but its sitting in a box waiting for its awakening. In the meantime though, I really got my moneys worth out of my Wii, which I didnt think would happen...
As for you guys considering getting a PS3, look around for a used one, they are dirt cheap these days, like $150 or so. Its also a Blu Ray player, and overall a nice media center that accepts whatever you throw at it (unlike the 360), you can play for free online, and the library is very good at this point.
ROFL, such free rentals. Well, I saw IGN just gave this game a 10/10, which I guess it means it doesnt suck at the very least. If its really better than Uncharted 2, Im going to be blown away.
