We're all going to die, mankind will be wiped out. The current swine flu worries are insignificant comapred to the slightly grander scheme or the much grander or the even grander still scheme of things.
Step back enough and the scale lets you see the perspective.
Why fight over a piece of land when it's all going to melt away eventually anyway? It belonged to nobody to begin with and it will end up belonging to nobody.
This is my main problem with this world. We humans and this planet we live on are so fragile, yet we are expected to go on with our lives, with the main reason only to be fueling our economy. While it all can be over within a blink of an eye.

Unfortunately, I don't think peoples' narrow view of existence will ever change. I'm guilty of that myself.
