Im thinking about getting it, do you think we will go back and play Firefight as often as we play Horde?
For another opinion, check out the Ars Technica review.
I think the game is seriously overpriced @ $60, especially if you are not a big Halo multiplayer fan. Personally if I could only buy one game this week, it would be Uncharted 2. Fortunately thats not the case, and because I do enjoy the occasional SWAT match and Firefight sounds really, really fun, I will bite the bullet and plunk down the $60.
Beating the game on Normal mode in Co-op? You could do Halo 3 like that in under 4 hours with no skulls on.Having all of Halo 3 minus the campaign and replacing it with a different non-spartan campaign and a Horde type mode makes it fair I think as a standalone game. The value falls with the amount of overlap though, as you say how much of Halo 3 multiplayer you like/have of the maps.
Yeah, i think i only bought one of the map packs for Halo 3, so to me it seems like a solid deal. All the mappacks for Halo 3 equal what $30 or so?So i get the complete multiplayer packed with 3 brand new maps along with a new 6 hour campaign and firefight mode.I went ahead and bought mine a half hour ago and i will probably go to the midnight release if im still up.
